Join me for three days prior to train, scout and prepare for this rare total solar eclipse.
On August 21st Oregon will experience a rare total solar eclipse. Join me for three days prior to train, scout and prepare for this rare total solar eclipse.
There are only 10 spots available in this unique photo workshop where you'll join me in the classroom and field for the three days of eclipse scouting, photo training, individual image critiques, shooting and editing with a focus on low-light scenes, high-contrast-backlit scenes, sun-stars and eclipse capture techniques.
Since solar eclipses coincide with new moons, we’ll also have dark nights to photograph stars and the Milky Way as well as the rising and setting of the crescent moon. The workshop officially ends Sunday night and you are free to photograph the eclipse from any of the locations we scout or one that you find on your own. I'll let you know where I'm headed and you're welcome to join me to photograph the event itself.
Our home base will be in Portland near Oregon's spectacular Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood and within striking distance of coastal, valley, mountain and high desert eclipse locations for Monday’s event.
