Charleston, SC, 5-day Workshop March 29th - April 2nd 2019

Regular price $0.00 $2,175.00 Sale

There’s good reason for Charleston, South Carolina’s rapid rise as one of the United States' premiere tourism destinations. Food, history, architecture, and beautiful wetlands full of birds and wildlife; yes this amazing city has something for every photographic style and taste. In this small workshop we'll split time between exploring this epic location and honing your photographic skills and creative vision through classroom training, shooting, editing and critiques.

Join me this spring in one of most fun cities in the country. From it’s exploding gourmet food scene, historic harbor and dramatic architecture to lush islands and swamps filled with amazing wildlife, Charleston is the perfect place for a photo adventure. We’ll be joined by my good friend David Archer, who along with being a longtime Charleston local is also a skilled photographer and musician.

For those of you like me that like to delve in and research a location in advance: We’ll be basing our workshop in the heart of historic Charleston within easy access to it’s culinary and historic treasures. We will also take excursions outside the city to locations like the Center for Birds of Prey, the Magnolia Plantation, and Audubon’s Francis Beidler Forest. As a bonus, we'll have a predawn crescent moonrise during this workshop.

Outside of class time, we’ll do dawn, sunset and night shoots both around the city and in the wildlife rich bayous, forests and gardens. I’ll demonstrate advanced techniques like panoramic mergers, focus blending, time-lapse and off camera flash. We’ll also make plenty of time to explore this amazing place. Of course you are always free to follow your own creative vision if you’ find yourself drawn in a different direction from the rest of the group.
